PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accepter for a storage medium and a printer with the accepter capable of easily changing a using mode when the printer is conveyed or when the storage medium is discharged. SOLUTION: This printer is provided with a flexible sheet member 440 and a plurality of hook members 410, 420, 430 capable of being arranged at optional positions and of locking the end sections of the sheet member. The using mode is changed by changing the layout mode of the hook members, the lock mode of the sheet member, and the mode of the sheet member itself. The hook members can be arranged at desired positions, the end sections of the sheet member can be hooked on the desired hook members, the sheet member can be folded, bent, or extended to form the desired receiving sections of the storage medium, thereby the conveying work or the extracting work of the storage medium of the prescribed size, for example, can be easily performed.
