PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a (meth)acrylate, which enables the efficient removal of colored impurities by the simple method which can stably be operated, and to obtain the (meth)acrylate. SOLUTION: This method for purifying the (meth)acrylate is characterized by transferring a water-containing (meth)acrylate to a distillation tower A, distilling away vapor containing water and a small amount of the (meth) acrylate, adding a primary and/or secondary amino group-containing compound to the vapor or its condensed liquid, separating the treated condensed liquid into the upper layer comprising the (meth)acrylate and the lower layer consisting mainly of water, returning a part or all of the upper layer to the overhead of the distillation tower, taking out the bottom product containing the (meth) acrylate from the bottom of the distillation tower, transferring the taken bottom product to a second distillation tower E, and then removing the high boiling substances.
