PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal reinforcing structure of a tank wherein deformation due to a liquid pressure applied to a pressured sidewall of a tank can be suppressed when an earthquake occurs, a lateral reinforcing bar can be reduced in weight, and the number of longitudinal reinforcing bars can be reduced to save a material cost, thereby allowing a construction cost to be reduced. SOLUTION: First and second horizontal reinforcing bars 16A and 16B are suspension-coupled with pressured sidewalls 14A to 14D with an inclination of approximately 45 degrees. If water in a tank body 14 moves to the right when an earthquake occurs, the first and second horizontal reinforcing bars 16A and 16B receive tension F and FL. Components of force F1 and F1L of the tension F and FL work to the pressured sidewalls 14C and 14D and absorbed by rigidity of the sidewalls. Inward components of force F2 and F2L are offset by a water pressure. Thus, an amount of displacement that the first and second sidewalls 14A and 14B are to deform to the right is suppressed, thereby improving resistance to earthquake of the tank.
