PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing device for a magnetic head capable of improving polishing precision and preventing two-facedness. SOLUTION: Improvement of the polishing precision and prevention of the two-facedness are performed by arranging two kinds of polishing plates for rough polishing and precise polishing polishing speed of which is made different from each other by differring rotating speed on the polishing device and sequentially moving the single polishing head on these polishing plates.
