PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denture attachment which is of a thin type, has powerful magnetic attraction and has excellent corrosion resistance and an attachment unit. SOLUTION: The denture attachment 1 is freely attachably and detachably attracted by magnetic attraction to a keeper 2 installed at a dental root 3. The denture attachment 1 consists of a yoke 12 having a magnetic path 121 and a yoke back plate 122 and a magnet layer 11. The magnet layer 11 and the magnetic path 121 have plural magnetic cells 15. The composition of the magnet layer 11 consists of, by atomic number, 35 to 55% platinum, 0.001 to 10% one or >=2 kinds among group 4a elements, group 5a elements, group 3b elements or group 4b elements and the balance iron and inevitable impurities and the average crystal grain size thereof is <=100μm. The magnetic layer is formed by a vapor phase deposition method.
