PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten carbonate type fuel cell system which can be assembled at high precision without deteriorating the plane precision and flexibility to lead to remarkably cost down by using press-molded parts which can be produced in high volume and economically by pressing process. SOLUTION: A fuel cell is constituted of a plurality of center plates 22, cells 24, and seal members 26. Each center plate 22 has roughened parts 22a formed by press forming of a thin plate and the outer-most face is formed to form one face. Each cell 24 comprises an anode 2, a cathode 3, and an electrolytic plate 1 and sandwiched between center plates. Each seal member 26 contains a material (for example an electrolytic substance, glass) which is melted and forms a wet seal at the driving temperature and being sandwiched between neighboring cells and center plates, respective seals air-tightly keep the gaps of the cell and plates and prevent deterioration of plane precision and flexibility due to the joining. |
