1277165 Toothed gearing A BERDRIN 8 Oct 1970 [10 Oct 1969] 47962/70 Heading F2Q In an agricultural machine having a plurality of vertical shafts 11 geared together by pinions 8 carried at the upper ends of the shafts, each pinion 8 is provided with threaded holes 10 so that a crown wheel 7 may be secured thereto by bolts 9 in order that a drive to or from a horizontal shaft 5 may be transmitted through a bevel pinion 6, on the shaft 5, meshing the crown wheel 7. Each shaft 5 passes through an aperture 2 in the wall of a casing, the apertures 2 being sealed by plates 5 when not in use. The shafts 11 are supported by ball bearings 12, and carry tool holders 17 at their lower ends. |
