PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate staining of a printed matter by setting a time waiting for next sheet feed and print in order to wait for fixing of ink even if next print data is transmitted immediately after output when a low fixative ink is used, and to make its waiting function act flexibly so that a user can operate the function freely. SOLUTION: The print system comprises a printer body section comprising a control operation means, an information storage means, i.e., an RAM, including a waiting time timer for storing setting of validity or release of a waiting function and a waiting time and measuring the waiting time, a key operating section where a user inputs cancel of the waiting function, a section for judging the kind of ink, and a bi-directional communication interface; a printer comprising a cartridge section including IDs for respective kinds of ink; and a host computer comprising a section for setting the waiting function or inputting the waiting time, an operation control section and a bi-directional communication interface. |
