PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaking and separating apparatus in which the projection height of a projection at a starting end resistance part of a straw rack is positively heightened, more effective loosening is carried out and occurrence of clogging followed by duration of a caught state of waste straw, etc., on the projection is avoided. SOLUTION: The starting end resistance part having a partially more enlarged transportation resistance in the movement direction of a material to be treated at the starting end part of the straw rack than a transportation action face. The starting end resistance part is provided with a sending action face with resistance which gives resistance to movement in the rear side in the transportation direction to the treated material to be transported, supplies the treated material to be transported in an imparted state of the movement resistance with a raising action upward and makes the treated material to be transported get over the starting end resistance part. The starting end resistance part is provided with a temporary movement resistance and a sending function.
