METHOD FOR EXPRESSING AND CALCULATING SIGNAL DELAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate signal delay value containing a dynamic factor by expressing a delay element based on the dynamic factor of crosstalk and the like and a delay element based on the static factor of power voltage fluctuation and the like by using vector expression. SOLUTION: In a signal route by logic circuits 11-14, the delay values td2 when coupling capacity X1 -X3 with adjacent circuits are removed and the delay value td2 when the capacity values of the coupling capacity X1 -X3 are doubled are obtained by circuit analysis. The static and dynamic delay vector elements tSpd and tPpd are calculated by using the relation of tSpd =1/2.|td1 +td2|and tPpd =1/2.|td1 -td2|from the delay values td1 and td2 . A primary function G is used and the signal delay value tpd is calculated by tpd =G(tSpd , tPpd ) from the vector elements tSpd and tPpd .
