PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightened pneumatic bias tire having improved durability and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This pneumatic bias tire has at least two carcass layers 4a and 4b having opposite cord angle with respect to the tire circumference direction on a pair of right and left bead cores 5 and 5. At least two carcass layers 4a and 4b are continuously spirally between the pair of right and left bead cores 5 and 5 so that a strip material 8 in which cords aligned in parallel are rubberized is alternately folded outside the bead cores 5 and 5.
