PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality control method capable of directly reflecting the confirmation result of the printing quality of printed matter to the printed matter itself without requiring manual work, and a quality control apparatus suitable therefor. SOLUTION: In the quality control method and the quality control apparatus, the quality confirming image printed on the printed matter is optically measured and a standard for judging the printing quality of the printed matter is set. The printing quality of the printed matter is judged by comparing the measuring result of the quality confirming image with the standard, and printing for displaying the quality judge result obtained in a quality judging step is applied to the printed matter. |
