<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder allowing a paper feeding tray with paper stored therein, to be mounted to a feeder body positively with small force. SOLUTION: In this feeder, a paper feeding tray is mounted to a device body so as to be freely pulled out to the front side, and paper stored in the paper feeding tray is pushed up by a push-up member and fed sheet by sheet in the separated state by a delivery roller coming in pressure contact with the upper face of the paper, and a pair of separating carrier rollers coming in pressure contact with each other and separating the paper to convey it. In this constitution, the device body side is provided with a nip release member moving within a plane orthogonal to the attaching/detaching direction of the paper feeding tray, following the attaching/detaching operation of the paper feeding tray, and it is so constituted to space the delivery roller from the paper and to release the pressure contact state of a pair of separating carrier rollers by the nip release member moving in the orthogonal direction to the attaching/ detaching direction of the paper feeding tray, following the attaching/detaching operation of the paper feeding tray.</p> |
