PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove lead component, which is not removed completely with common activated carbon or a hollow yarn membrane in drinking water such as city water. SOLUTION: The water purifier constituted so as to pass water vertically through a filtration structure composed of an adsorbing material at least containing an adsorption filtration layer for a lead component material existing in raw water in the form of a solute or suspension and a porous hollow yarn membrane is capable of removing the lead component and hardly causes short- pass at the time of passing water through the adsorption filtration layer and exhibits the adsorption ability of the adsorption filtration layer satisfactorily.
