PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably align not only the paper of a small size but also the paper of a large size. SOLUTION: This paper discharge device is provided with a back fence 54 having a regulation face 54a facing the collision face 52a of an end fence 52 with which the tip section of the discharged printing paper P collides. The collision face 52a is inclined at the prescribed angleαupward toward the upstream of the discharging direction O, thereby the printing paper P colliding with the collision face 52a is dropped in an attitude that the tip section in the discharging direction O is faced downward. When the printing paper P of the small size collides with the collision face 52a in particular, it is bounced, with the tip section faced downward, then a rear end section is brought into contact with the back fence 54 and returned to the end fence 52 side in a stable attitude. Since the back fence 54 is stored when the printing paper P of the large size, which is hardly bounced from the end fence 52, is used, the printing paper P of the small size and the printing paper P of the large size can be aligned respectively.
