PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high recording speed in an ink recording apparatus by rapidly attenuating waves generated in an ink meniscus surface at the time of recording operation. SOLUTION: An ink recording apparatus comprises a supporting member having a slit-like opening part for forming a liquid chamber communicating with the opening part so as to be filled with an ink, a power feeder capable of supplying charge to the ink, a counter electrode disposed facing the opening part, a driving power source circuit for applying voltage between the power feeder and the counter electrode, and a recording position changing means, wherein a high recording speed can be achieved by providing a plurality of wave eliminating waves in the vicinity of the silt-like opening part so as to provide barriers to various kinds of waves propagating in the ink at the time of recording operation for dispersing and attenuating the energy of the waves.
