PURPOSE: A method for controlling hot blast flow control valve is provided to prevent adhesion and damage of the hot blast flow rate control valve due to high heat and adhesion of such things as dust when blowing hot blast generated in hot stove into blast furnace through tuyere of the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling hot blast flow control valve in blast furnace comprises first step of selecting a pulsating mode in which any one operation mode between automatic or manual operation modes is selected so that pulsating operation is automatically performed by opening or closing a hot blast flow control valve(1), thereby starting pulsating program by turning on a timer(104) in case of the automatic mode and turning on a run switch(103) in case of the manual mode; second step of comparing the opening state of the present valve with a reference value by comparators(106,106',109,109') after memorizing the collected data in buffer(105) by collecting opening data of the present valve; third step of operating values stored in the buffer(105) by a preset operation formula of operators(107,108,110), setting resulting value as an opening value of the hot blast flow control valve(1), and maintaining the opened or closed hot blast flow control valve(1) for a certain period of time set in timers after opening or closing the hot blast flow control valve(1) by impressing the set opening value to driving means of the hot blast flow control valve(1); fourth step of returning an opening value of the hot blast flow control valve(1) as a previous opening value before pulsation control by operation formula of operators(111,112,113) when the timers are finished, and terminating pulsating system after opening or closing the hot blast flow control valve(1) by impressing the opening value to the driving means of the hot blast flow control valve(1); and fifth step of sequentially repeatedly performing the second to fourth steps for all hot blast flow control valves(1) installed in the blast furnace.
