摘要 PURPOSE: An arrayed waveguide grating and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a crosstalk by properly determining a channel waveguide. CONSTITUTION: The arrayed waveguide grating comprises a waveguide pattern formed to have at least one of optical input waveguides(at least one first optical waveguide)(2) arranged side by side, a first slab waveguide(3) connected to the outgoing side of the optical input waveguides(2) and an arrayed waveguide connected to the outgoing side of the first slab waveguide(3). The arrayed waveguide grating further includes a second slab waveguide(5) connected to the outgoing side of the arrayed waveguide and a plurality of optical output waveguides(second optical waveguides)(6) which are arranged side by side and which are connected to the outgoing side of the second slab waveguide(5).
