PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod holdable in a stable posture without making a wrist fatigued. SOLUTION: This fishing rod comprises a grip 5 which is a member comprising a synthetic resin or a metal, etc., connected and fixed in a state thereof in which an end on the side of rod butt of a butt rod 1 is inserted and extended to the side of the rod butt. The grip 5 is biased and bent from the course in one direction in the peripheral direction (specifically, in the direction on the side of a reel-carrying surface 10a of a reel seat 3) in the axial direction of the grip 5 and then extended again in the axial direction. The top surface (a plane on the side of the carrying surface 10a of the reel seat 3) on the rod butt side is an elbowrest surface 5a.
