PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displaying unit for welding state in which operating information needed to the welding is generated and displayed on a monitor image screen by grasping a molten pool based on a video signal in the welding part. SOLUTION: An image processor 51 obtains a color video signal in the welding part from a color image pickup unit 2 and is decomposed into RGB components, and a range of the molten pool 8 is estimated from a strength level of the RGB components or ratio among the components. Position of a bevel line is decided and a correcting information needed on the welding work, such as welding condition, weld-following line, is obtained from the positional relation between the shape of the molten pool and the bevel line, by referring a welding work data base stored in a storing device 53 with an information processor 52, and an image displaying unit 54 displays the video in the welding part and the correcting information on the same image plane.
