SYSTEM FOR MONITORING RAW WATER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF CONCENTRATING/SEPARATING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical system for monitoring raw water efficiently, by which a very small amount of the component to be monitored in raw water can be grasped though the raw water is not analyzed directly and the treated water can be used effectively as drinking water or the like and to provide a method for controlling the operation of a concentrating/separating apparatus by using the system for monitoring the raw water. SOLUTION: This system for monitoring the raw water is provided with one or more series of the concentrating/separating apparatus 1 in which the component to be measured in the raw water is removed by moving it to the side of a concentrated liquid obtained together with a separated liquid by separating the raw water by introducing the raw water into a membrane separation unit and/or an electrodeposition/ elution unit, a measurement means 2 arranged in at least one series of the apparatus 1 for measuring the concentration of the component to be measured in the concentrated liquid and a calculation means for calculating the concentration of the component to be measured in the raw water by using the ratio of the volume of the concentrated liquid to that of the separated liquid. The operation of the apparatus 1 is controlled by using the output from the system for monitoring the raw water.
