PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an end part of a work by which a contracted portion protruded outward of an virtual extended surface of an outer circumferential surface of a body portion is easily and appropriately formed on an end of a tubular work. SOLUTION: A plurality of target machining portions are set between a non-machining portion having the contour of the final target shape of a body portion (4a) and a final target machining portion which has an axis at least offset, inclined, or twisted with respect to the axis of the non-machining portion, and partly protruded outward of the imaginary extended surface of the outer circumferential surface of the non-machining portion for a stepped work (4x) having a portion to be machined and having the diameter larger than that of the non-machining portion, and a plurality of machining target axes are set based thereon. The work is supported so that one of the plurality of axes is substantially coincident with the axis of the portion to be machined, the axis of the portion to be machined is coincident with each machining target axis, the portion to be machined is subjected to spinning so as to reduce the outside diameter of the portion to be machined in each machining target axis, and formed to a final target machining part shape (4d).
