<p>In the present invention, there is disclosed a method of cooling glass products, in particular thick-walled glass products within cooling conveyor furnaces wherein the method is characterized in that the glass product to be cooled is heated to a cooling temperature whereby the maximum cooling temperature is adjusted to a temperature corresponding to dynamic viscosity of 10e13.4 to 13.7 dPa.s in order to eliminate product deformation, optionally transfer of a belt or a pad to the product being cooled; the product is then cooled from the maximum cooling temperature to a required level of internal stress according to a cooling curve. All over the cooling time, the temperature of the cooling conveyor furnace is controlled in the individual sections thereof according to a preset cooling curve. Time flow of cooling is controlled by selection of time of the conveyor belt running and time of the conveyor belt drive switching off.</p> |
