A sealing ring (11) for modular ducts (1) for transporting aeriform substances and a modular duct (1) comprising a plurality of said sealing rings (11) interposed between structurally independent tubular sections (2, 3) connected in series into one another. The sealing ring (11) comprises a plurality of flexible lips (12a, 12b) having a tapered cross-section and accomplishes an improved sealing action against the leaks of aeriform substances at both high temperatures and high pressures with respect to that obtainable by sealing rings of the prior art. <IMAGE>
