PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to attain high water resistance and high color developability, to eliminate the bleed between black and a color other than black and to improve the fixability of an image by applying a black ink and a color ink other than the black ink by jet recording and applying to the inks treating fluids corresponding to the respective inks. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of: preparing a treating fluid (A) for a black ink, a treating fluid (B) for a yellow ink, a treating fluid (C) for a magenta ink and a treating fluid (D) for a cyan ink which correspond to the four color inks of ink jet recording, applying the four color inks and applying A to the black ink, applying C to the yellow ink, applying C to the magenta ink and applying D to the cyan ink. The colorants of the four color inks re anionic ones, and the essential component of the treating fluids corresponding to them is at least one cationic substance. |
