Spacious vehicle, especially a rail vehicle, comprises a body shell (1) made of metal and a vehicle head (2) made of fiber-reinforced plastic which is connected by adhesion to the body shell. A profile (3) designed as a portal is fixed to the body shell and has a U-shaped recess (3a) opening outward into which a peripheral arm (2a) of the vehicle head facing inward engages. Preferred Features: A gap (4, 5) between the U-shaped recess and the peripheral arm is filled with adhesive (6) via holes (3b) arranged along the periphery of the U-shaped recess.
