The present invention relates to an axial ball-and-socket joint for linkages in motor vehicles, comprising: a metallic housing (1), which is open on one side and which is provided with a fastening pin (2) opposite the open side of the housing; a bearing shell (3) made of plastic disposed in said housing (1); a metallic joint ball (5), which is mounted in said housing (1) in said bearing shell (3) by tamping material of the open edge of said metallic housing (1) and said joint ball (5) being provided at an end of a ball pivot (4), said ball pivot (4) projecting from the open side of said housing (1) and being positionable coaxially with the fastening pins (1), a rubber buffer (8) having selected elastic characteristics, said plastic bearing shell (3) having a bearing shell oblique surface (12) with respect to longitudinal axis thereof, said bearing shell oblique surface (12) having a constant angle, said bearing shell oblique surface (12) being supported, on a side of said housing (1) with said fastening pin (2), against an oblique surface on said housing (1) and said bearing shell oblique surface (12) being supported against said buffer (8), said buffer being inserted between said bearing shell (3) and a radial support surface (7) provided on said housing. |
