<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the water purifier capable of being erected with a small necessary floor space at a relatively low cost, with the space thereabove freely usable and with the intergravel purifying body easily backwashed. SOLUTION: An outer casing 1 is embedded in the ground G, a base concrete 2 is placed at the bottom, an inner casing 3 is inserted into the outer casing 1 with the bottom held at the intermediate position of the outer casing 1, and a mesh lid 5 is provided at the lower part and upper part of the inner casing 3. An intergravel purifying body 6 is packed inside the outer casing 1 and inner casing 3 and between the upper and lower lids 5, the water to be purified is allowed to flow downward in the outer casing 1 and then upward in the inner casing 3.</p> |
