The present invention relates to a foods supplement exhibiting activity on plasma lipids and blood antioxidant capacity comprising as active components a mixture of 10 to 90 percent by weight of Cardui mariae fructus extractum siccum and 90 to 10 percent by weight of at least one vegetable oil containing n-3 and n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, whereby the active components are mixed with up to 20 multiple weight amount of a physiologically acceptable vehicle.
