PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system which gain and analyze data other than imaging collected during an ultrasonic inspection for reporting operation characteristics of an ultrasonic section. SOLUTION: During this ultrasonic imaging system is turned ON, a key stroke of a user is traced and checked anytime to gain key strokes from the ultrasonic imaging system, and then the data are used for operation analysis of the section. During the inspection, the user of the ultrasonic imaging system presses a button to select an item from the menu of the operator interface. Those key strokes actuate a function on the ultrasonic imaging system or change an operation parameter. Simultaneously a code to represent a key stroke is stored in an electronic memory area. A date, a time, and a value of setting or adjusting are also stored with the code. As a result, the electronic data in the memory area can be extracted to use for the analysis of the use condition of the ultrasonic imaging system.
