<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a collision with a traveling directional forward object, or to reduce the collision, and to restrain and prevent a forward movement by properly restricting an occupant. SOLUTION: A distance L and a relative speed Vr with the traveling directional forward object are detected by a laser radar, and when the distance L to the relative speed Vr exists in a collision avoidable area, a seat belt is fixed, the occupant is restricted to a certain degree, a braking force capable of avoiding the collision is made to act on a vehicle, and when the distance L to the relative speed Vr exists in a collision unavoidable area, the seat belt is forcedly wound, the occupant is firmly restricted, and the maximum braking force is made to act on the vehicle to reduce the collision.</p> |
