PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new X-ray image contrast in medical and biological engineering especially a method and an apparatus for X-ray diffraction image contrast by microballoons. SOLUTION: Using hollow microcapsules or microballoons which have dimensions (smaller than severalμm) about passable through a blood capillary as a contrast medium and using a system to induce controlled radiation of 10 to severalμm of bright point size by convergently irradiating a focussing electronic beam to the atomic nucleus in a subject as an X-ray source, those are organically combined to practically realize diffraction imaging. The thickness of the shell of a microballoon can be several hundred A or lower and this thin thickness causes to obtain a high diffraction angle. Thus a new method of imaging for medical or general nondestruction inspection is enabled with large profit.
