PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily agitate/mix granular substance with water homogeneously at the desired moisture content. SOLUTION: This water adding mixer has an agitation tool for agitating the granular substance and a spray nozzle 27 for spraying water 23 to the granular substance which are arranged in a casing 15 for housing the granular substance so that the granular substance housed in the casing is agitated/mixed with the water 23 sprayed through the nozzle 27 by the agitation tool. The nozzle 27 is provided with a wall surface 30 surrounding the nozzle 27 in a cylindrical state by leaving a space in the radial direction of the spray hole 24 and an air jetting nozzle 32 for making the pressurized air pass through the gap between the nozzle 27 and the wall surface 30 and jetting the pressurized air toward the tip side of the nozzle 27 intermittently.
