PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for endoscope, which has excellent operability regardless of right or left hand for operating the rotation operating lever despite a low manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This operating device for endoscope is equipped with a rotation operating lever in which the base part is connected to the rotation center shaft equipped on the holding operating part and a finger hook arm part long in a direction parallel with the rotation center shaft of the operating part. The finger hook arm part is formed almost symmetric with respect to a plane passing almost the center in the width in the direction of the rotation center shaft of the holding operating part.
