PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition where a physiologically active component in royal jelly is stabilized. SOLUTION: This composition contains royal jelly and metal protease inhibitor, i.e., a chelating agent, and the royal jelly contains >=9 wt.% of protein stated below: (1) protein in the royal jelly forms a single band during nondenaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. (2) molecule weight measured by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis under reducing condition is about 57 kilo dalton. This composition is used for foods, cosmetics or medicinal supplies each containing royal jelly and at least one kind of a chelating agent selected from edetic acid, dibasic carboxylic acid, tribasic acid carboxylic acid and its salt. |
