PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high density nickel hydroxide containing high content of cobalt and manganese which can be used as a positive electrode material for the lithium ion secondary cell with less cycle deterioration and constant high utilization at high temperature. SOLUTION: This high density nickel hydroxide co-precipitated with cobalt and manganese is obtained by continuously supplying an aqueous nickel salt solution containing a cobalt salt and a manganese salt in a reactor under inert gas atmosphere or in the presence of a reducing agent, continuously growing crystals and continuously taking out the product having high density, especially >=1.5 g/cc tapping density. |
