PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video game allowing a player to spontaneously extract a reaction from a display object by trial and error. SOLUTION: If a prescribed command is inputted from the player when a player character and the object related to an event are adjacently located, the event equipment information of an item slot specified by the player is referred to. Whether the player character is equipped with the event equipment corresponding to the object or not is judged based on the event equipment information. When the play character is equipped with the corresponding equipment, an event flag is turned on. The player can spontaneously extract a desired reaction from the object by selecting and equipping an optimum one from the available various equipment and can obtain the interest to progress the game by trial and error.
