PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight, downsized refuse feeder having a simplified whole structure. SOLUTION: This refuse feeder has: a casing 1 provided with a refuse charge port 2 placed in the upper part of the casing 1 on the side of its one end and a discharge port 3 which has a paddle cutter 4 and is placed at the other end of the casing 1; two screws 26a and 26b received in the casing 1, in parallel to each other, a shaft 7 of each of the screws 26a and 26b, the base end of which is supported in a cuntilever manner by a bearing 9 and also connected to a drive unit 10; a front end side shaft member 27 and a base end side shaft member 28 of the shaft 7, which shaft members 27 and 28 are coaxially placed with each other and the mutually opposite ends of which shaft members 27 and 28 are connected through a coil spring 30, so as to form an integral, continuous screw shape of each of the screws 26a and 26b; and a sleeve 31 which is placed on the outer periphery side of each of the both ends of the spring coil 30 and used for regulating the bend angle of the shaft 7. Thus, when a large refuse mass 12 enters into the casing 1, each of the screws 26a and 26b is outwardly bent, due to generation of a large outward load on each of the screw 26a and 26b, to widen the space between the screws 26a and 26b, to receive the large refuse mass 12 between the screws 26a and 26b and to convey the large refuse mass 12 to the puddle cutter 4.
