A cam room of a portable four-cycle engine capable of supplying a minimum required amount of lubricant into the cam room for improved energy efficiency, comprising an oil sump (20c) provided between a sealed bearing (11) for pivotally supporting a crank shaft (2) at one end of the crank shaft (2) and a shaft seal (13) of the crank shaft (2) and adapted to store therein such an amount of lubricant as to immerse a crank gear (21), and an introduction hole (31) for supplying the lubricant in the crank case (1) to the oil sump (20), wherein the cam room may further comprise a guide rib (32) for guiding the lubricant in the crank case (1) to the introduction hole (31).
