PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize bead apex rubber, securing necessary lateral rigidity of a tire. SOLUTION: This bead apex rubber is formed into a small triangular shape in its cross section having an oblique surface. In a folded part of a carcass ply, a recess is formed by a lower region and an upper region which successively contact the oblique surface and the ply main body. In the recess, a hard rubber reinforcing apex is disposed and coated with clinch rubber and sidewall rubber.
