PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make wider the range for workpieces of different outside diameters applicable with one size than that of a conventional collet chuck, and shorten the length thereof. SOLUTION: A clamp 10 has a first division part 11, a second division part 12 and a third division part 13 corresponding to three circumferential divisions of one imaginary ring R, in which adjacent ends of each pair of the first division part 11 and the second division part 12 and of the second division part 12 and the third division part 13 are interconnected by a link 14 to make an adjacent interval gap 22 adjustable. Each one end 25 and 26 of the first division part 11 and the third division part 13 at both ends is an open end without interconnection. The ends are opened and then wrapped about the periphery of the workpiece 1, and this state is fixed in a spindle chuck.
