PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing method capable of polishing optical parts having free curved faces and moulds to mold such optical parts highly accurately and efficiently. SOLUTION: The work face of a tool 1 used for polishing is formed into a curved face having a larger radius of curvature than that of the work face having been made in the previous process.
