PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which is almost free from a texture fog and shows outstanding coloring and image conservation properties. SOLUTION: This thermal recording medium comprises a thermal coloring layer composed mainly of a normally colorless or pale-colored coloring compound, a color developing compound which thermally develops a color in the coloring compound and a sensitizer. In addition, the medium is characterized in that it contains a chemical compound represented by the formula (1) (wherein, R is an alkyl group or a benzyl group with the number of carbon atoms of 4 or less) and a p-toluenesulfonic acid-β-phenyxyethyl ester. |
