PURPOSE: A sealing structure for high vacuum CRT is provided to prevent generation of noxious gas by avoiding heating and melting operation of the exhaust gas of CRT, while improving characteristics by sealing at a high vacuum state. CONSTITUTION: A sealing structure for exhausting air, through an exhaust pipe(120), from a vacuum device like a CRT, and sealing the CRT is characterized in that a sealing member(130) for sealing the CRT by the difference between the atmospheric pressure and the internal pressure of the CRT is inserted into an exhaust pipe(120). The exhaust pipe has an internal structure with the narrow interior and wide exterior. The exhaust pipe has a stepped portion(121) for preventing the sealing member from being pushed inward. The sealing member inserted into the exhaust pipe is coated with an elastic material so as to prevent a fine gap between the sealing member and the exhaust pipe.
