PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet unit in which ejection velocity of ink is kept constant regardless of temperature variation of ink and ink can be ejected with a stabilized ejection angle. SOLUTION: The ink jet unit comprises an ink jet head 40 having a piezoelectric element 30 provided with a plurality of ink chambers 20 for storing ink, and a section 60 for acquiring the feature value of ink in the ink chamber, a section for supplying the piezoelectric element with such a drive voltage as increasing/decreasing the volume of the plurality of ink chambers 20, respectively, for a first/second voltage with respect to a reference voltage, and a section for controlling the voltage supply section to select first or second drive voltage and to supply a selected drive voltage to the voltage supply section, wherein the first and second drive voltages are selected to have a specified ratio based on the feature value.
