PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning unit for an automobile capable of reducing the number of dies to reduce cost on the dies, and an instrument panel module provided with the air conditioning unit. SOLUTION: This air conditioning unit 1 is provided with a unit case 10 containing a heater core 8 at least, and a defrosting duct 13 and a ventilating duct 15 to introduce air from a defrosting blow opening 17 and a ventilating blow opening 1 in the unit case 10 through a defrosting blow port 25 and a ventilating blow port 26 in the instrument panel 2 into a living space in a cabin. The defrosting duct 13 and the ventilating duct 15 are integrally formed with the unit case 10, and the unit case 10 is composed to be separable in one direction.
