PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb filter in which a high temperature exhaust gas to be discharged is not directly brought into contact with a holding sealing body and the holding sealing body is hardly eroded by wind and scattered even if the honeycomb filter is disposed in a casing of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In the honeycomb filter constituted so that a part or all of a wall part separating the through-holes of a cylindrical body composed of a porous ceramic in which many through-holes are arranged side by side in a longitudinal direction across a wall part may work as a filter for capturing particles, a projecting part is formed at an outer periphery of one end part.
