PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishhook remover which can surely catch the fishhook without damaging a fishing line even when a hooked position and the direction of are not confirmed, can prevent that the removed fishhook is again hooked on other parts of the fish, can simply detach the fishhook even from the deep part of the fish throat by one touch, and especially facilitates the release of young of fish. SOLUTION: This fishhook remover is characterized by having a cylindrical grip 12 formed in a hollow shape over the whole length of the axial direction, a resilient member (spring) 14 for energizing an automatic rotation shaft 13 with respect to the grip toward the tip 13a, and the automatic rotation shaft 13 which is passed through the grip 12, is attached in a state capable of being freely rotated and slid with respect to the grip, at whose tip 13a a fishhook- hooking portion 13b formed in a tempered shape and having a valley shape, when watched from the right angle direction, is formed in the tip 13a, and in which a line guide 13e further projected from the fishhook-hooking portion 13b and having a tip 13d cured in one direction, when watched from the right angle direction, is formed.
