PURPOSE: A method and a device for electronic commerce by competition of distribution stores are provided to make a seller secure the purchase demand without a load for a delivery cost and to maker a buyer receive the brought article from a place capable of conveniently visiting. CONSTITUTION: The device includes a server(100), a storage(110) storing a DB and the terminals(130,140) connecting to the server through a computer communication network such as the Internet(120). The server executes a vicinity distribution store competition type electronic commerce program while updating and referring to various kinds of DBs. The DB includes a buyer member DB(111), a seller member DB(112), a purchase registration DB(113), a purchase registration display DB(114), a selling offer DB(115), a selling decision DB(116), a registered goods DB(117), and a vicinity distribution store registration DB(118). A purchase registration terminal(130) and a selling offer terminal(140) are equipped with a purchase registration and selling offer program. The program is installed to a hard disk by downloading from the server through the Internet or a recording medium such as a CD.
