PURPOSE: A voice mail system in a keyphone having a moving picture information regeneration and storage function is provided to supply not only voice mail but also moving picture information to communication subscribers by storing a voice and moving picture message inputted through a keyphone from an external communication user and regenerating it through a moving picture player according to an extension subscriber's request. CONSTITUTION: A voice mail system in a keyphone(1) having a moving picture information regeneration and storage function is comprised of a line interface part(3), a voice codec(4), a video codec(5), a microcomputer(7), an HDD(8), and a RAM(9). The line interface part(3) interfaces voice and moving picture information inputted and output through a communication network(2) and executes signal processing for them. The voice codec(4) executes A/D(Analog/Digital) conversion for the voice signals inputted and output to the line interface part(3). The video codec(5) executes A/D conversion for the moving picture information signals inputted and output to the line interface part(3). The microcomputer(7) controls the regeneration and storage function of the voice mail system overall. The HDD(8) stores a large amount of voice and moving picture information according to a function control signal from the microcomputer(7). The RAM(9) temporarily stores the information signals of the voice codec(4) and the video codec(5).
